FI - 100

The Field Intelligence's remote telemetry unit (RTU) is designed specifically for agricultural and environmental applications. This unit consists of a satellite and/or cellular module, a hardware I/O card that provides an interface to sensors, and a12V battery and charging circuitry all encased in a NEMA 4X enclosure. If no local power source is available, the telemetry unit will come with a solar panel allowing completely untethered remote monitoring. The unit also comes with a satellite or cellular whip antenna and a GPS antenna as required for the application.

The unit is designed for simple installation. It can be assembled and mounted in minutes, and then locally switched on to begin data collection and delivery. The remainder of the operation is intended to be completely unattended. The FI RTU comes with a custom application that can be configured to fit your needs. This application allows FI to configure basic operating parameters such as: data delivery, sleep intervals, sensor configuration, sensor read interval, alarm levels, and battery voltage set points. The unit is fully duplex for remote management and has enough memory to logger over one years’ worth of continual measurements.

All of the application and system configuration parameters can be modified over-the-air. The commands can be sent via the website or through the FI data server interfaces.

FI – 200

The FI-200 is designed specifically for industrial applications. The unit is designed to SAE J1455 electrical and environmental standards. It contains interfaces to electronics and sensors most commonly found on industrial equipment such as a J1939 bus, 4-20 mA current loop or other analog sensors, and digital/serial signals such as RS-232 and equipment relay signals. The FI-200 also contains a GPS system for tracking applications. The FI-200 contains a standard FI application for pump protection and tracking and other equipment monitoring, or can be modified to suit custom requirements. Similar to the FI-100, the unit can be operated in a black box only mode wherein data is saved locally and transmitted only when requested over-the-air

FI – Satellite Modem

Field Intelligence can integrate any of its satellite modems directly into your equipment enclosures and applications in order to satellite enable the equipment. Typical applications have included direct connection to equipment loggers and other serial devices. The solution provides two way global communications to the equipment. Most custom implementations are completed in less than two weeks.
